The Voice of the Garden State Banking Industry
NJBankers represents the industry’s interests at the state Legislature, with our congressional delegation, before courts and with regulatory agencies, in the media, and to the general public. We host several events per year to engage our members with policy-makers, and give them the opportunity to share the great work they are doing to support our state.
Registered Legislative Agents
NJBankers has two state registered Legislative Agents on staff.
Supporting Communities through Education and Philanthropy
NJBankers partners with our members to enhance the quality of life for New Jersey residents. With the guidance of our Philanthropic Committee and Charitable Foundation, we work with organizations such as food banks, veterans groups, universities and more to offer financial and educational support.
Engaging in the Political Process to Bring About Meaningful Change
NJBankers works to educate our members on how policy can shape our industry and the importance of being a part of the political process. We are a non-partisan organization that actively engages with candidates for office, along with political/party leaders across New Jersey, to promote the work and interests of the banking industry at large.
Taking Action to Best Serve our Members
NJBankers has, at times, pursued litigation on issues of clear regulatory oversight on behalf of our member banks. The issues taken up through legislation protect our banks and allow them to operate more effectively and efficiently so they can best serve our state’s residents. In addition, we work closely with our volunteer committee members and the general membership to pursue policies that create a competitive business environment for our banks and promote strong communities in New Jersey.
